RAYMOND PERRY

Born in Herefordshire in 1962 Raymond Perry is a contemporary British abstract artist. His paintings are inspired by the remote corners of rural Herefordshire and Gloucestershire. Working primarily in oils and using intense applications of rich colour he aims to recapture the atmosphere of these ancient places rather than an exact reproduction of the landscape. Often discarding conventional notions of perspective and format the resulting images have a subtle and weathered luminosity. He now lives and works in Gloucestershire
